About IJ Fair
The Intergovernmental Fair, IJ Fair for short, has been held during the Annual Conference since its introduction in 2005. It is a networking event where Child Support Professionals from all over the country share Intergovernmental case processing best practices and contact information. In 2020, WICSEC offered a virtual IJ Fair when the Annual Conference was also virtual. In 2021, WICSEC partnered with ERICSA to offer joint mini virtual IJ Fairs throughout the year. In 2022, NTCSA joined WICSEC and ERICSA in the effort. The virtual platform continues to allow more attendees to participate. WICSEC plans to continue to offer the in-person IJ Fair at the Annual Conference as well as the joint mini virtual events.
Take the Pledge
An important part of the WICSEC culture is the Intergovernmental Fair, an event held at the annual conference along with mini virtual fairs throughout the year. The purpose is to encourage contact and collaboration between states, local jurisdictions, and tribes in an effort to work together to improve service to our customers. Attendees of this Fair are encouraged to “Take the Pledge” – a process by where contact information is shared with other pledge takers – all of whom agree to work collaboratively by sharing direct contact information and agreeing to support and respond to inquiries from fellow child support professionals.
In short, participating in the Fair means “Let’s break down barriers and red tape, and help each other.”
You don’t have to wait until the conference to sign the pledge though, you can view, sign it and access it anytime!
