November 19, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PST
Join WICSEC for a mirco-jolt of learning! You know that knee jerk reaction that we get when we meet someone that looks, speaks or thinks different than we do? We start thinking on terms like "them" and "us". This is called "Unconscious Bias". The minute we feel or perceive danger, our brain pulls us in its comfort zone. In this micro-session, we will define Unconscious Bias and look at the root of why we have unconscious bias, as well as sharing few solutions on how to minimize it.
